About Me

  1. Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s early smash hit “Rain On Me” storms in at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This earns Lady Gaga her fifth #1 single on the main chart. Previous songs of hers to hold this spot include Just Dance, Poker Face, Born This Way, and Shallow. With “Rain On Me” topping the charts, Lady Gaga now holds the crown for the longest time span of #1 debuts (9 years, 3 months, and 1 week) while also adding to her own career history by now having #1 singles in 3 different decades, 00’s, 10’s and now 20’s. For Ariana, this achievement makes her the only artist in history to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100 a record breaking four times while simultaneously being her 4th #1 single. Collectively, “Rain On Me” continues pushing barriers as it becomes the first time in history that three female collaborations have topped the chart back to back following “Say So” and “Savage.” Congratulations to Gaga, Ariana, Bobby and Scooter for the work and love they’ve poured into this collaboration. We know this chart achievement comes at a time of high emotion and injustice as protests are marching on across America and globally following the tragic murder of George Floyd, and want to assure our followers and readers we have not lost sight of the bigger issue here by taking a moment to reflect and celebrate. We wish anyone taking part in the protests in solidarity with #BlackLivesMatter physical, emotional and mental health and safety during these times.
