    1. Lady Gaga has broken the internet yet again, this time asking a simple question that sent gamers and stans alike into a frenzy: “what’s Fortnight”. But Lady Gaga is no stranger to the gaming world. After recently coming out as a self proclaimed “secret gamer girl,” the chameleon of pop has been open about her obsession with the hit Nintendo game Bayonetta, and has now expressed curiosity about the gaming giant, Fortnite. After Fortnite launched its record breaking Chapter 2, the mass amount of media coverage was enough to capture the attention of Lady Gaga, causing her to tweet. A Lady Gaga X Fortnite collab could look anything like something as simple as a skin set of one of Gaga’s many iconic looks, or an in-game concert event. Both fans of Lady Gaga and Fortnite are already suspecting a collab between the two along the lines of Fortnite’s history making first ever virtual in game concert with Marshmello.

    3. Lady Gaga attended the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday which took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. She was nominated for 2 awards, Best Actress and Best Original Song, while A Star is Born was nominated up for 8 awards, including Best Picture. Before the show began, Lady Gaga turned heads while arriving on the red carpet wearing an Alexander McQueen gown and the iconic Tiffany & Co. Yellow Diamond, worth a reported $50 Million. The necklace has only been worn three times in history, the last in 1961 by Audrey Hepburn while promoting the film Breakfast at Tiffany's. During the ceremony, Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper performed their hit single Shallow for the first time on television. Shortly after came the Best Original Song category, where Gaga won her first ever Academy Award for "Shallow". She was joined onstage by fellow songwriters Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt to collect accept the honor, bursting into tears and delivering an emotional speech. Following the win, the four of them went backstage to celebrate, posing for photos. Throughout the ceremony, Gaga also mingled with various other stars, such as Irina Shayk, Diane Warren and Rami Malek. Olivia Colman, who took home the prize for Best Actress, finished her speech with a shoutout to Gaga, who responded by blowing kisses. After the ceremony Lady Gaga headed to the annual Vanity Fair after party where she took new gorgeous pictures on the red carpet. Without any expectation Lady Gaga also went to Madonna's Oscar After party, where the two took an epic picture together.
    4. Lady Gaga took to Twitter to respond to an outpouring of criticism for her 2013 collaboration and hit single with R. Kelly “Do What U Want (With My Body). After the airing of “Surviving R. Kelly” it was revealed allegedly that several artists and celebrities who had worked or had ties with Kelly were asked for comment on the matter and had declined interviews. Gaga was one of those reported to decline comment and twitter erupted demanding a statement from the singer to shine an even bigger light on the subject having been known for being so outspoken against sexual assault. In her statement Gaga says she stands by R. Kelly’s victims and anyone who has ever been the victim of sexual assault and that she believes them 1000%. She also touches on how dark of a place she was in her life during the ARTPOP era and admits she didn’t make the best decisions, and for that has decided to pull “Do What U Want ft. R Kelly” from iTunes and all streaming platforms. Her full statement:

    11. A congratulations is in order as Lady Gaga has just received her first award of the season for her role in A Star Is Born as Best Actress by The National Board of Review. Sam Elliot also received a win in the Best Supporting Actor category. However, this win is notoriously bittersweet. Most of the time actors and actresses who win with NBR almost never win their categories at The Oscars as the National Board of Review has a history of awarding movies not typically recognized by The Oscars. For example, last years big winner with the Academy, Shape of Water, was nowhere to be found in the NBR Top 10 along with other snubbed major Oscar winners Darkest Hour and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri. The win with NBR is said to be a kiss of death to their (potential) academy nomination. Heres to hoping that if anyone can break this curse, it’s Lady Gaga.
    12. Lady Gaga and best friend Bo O’Connor, who is also a professional chef and owns The Pomeroy in New York, cooked dinner for their precinct of the Los Angeles Fire Department on Saturday night. This was Gaga’s way of saying thank you to her local firefighters for tirelessly fighting the devastating #WoolseyFire in Malibu, CA. In exchange, the firefighters of Station 27 gave Gaga a tour of their firehouse and let her suit up (halfway) in their gear. And even sent her off with a full set of LAFD merch. We wish the Los Angeles Fire Department and hundreds of volunteers luck as the fire wages on and extend our heart to all of those affected.

    21. In recent years, Kesha's legal battle against her former producer and alleged abuser, Dr. Luke, has become one of the most prominent legal battles in the industry, garnering tremendous support across social media, fans and fellow celebrities. In case you're unaware, Kesha came out as a sexual assault victim in 2014, accusing her then producer Dr. Luke of said abuse, thus opening a legal battle against him in hopes of getting out of her multiple album contract with the producer and his record label under Sony. As of recently, texts between Kesha and several other female artists in the industry have been made public, including those between herself and Lady Gaga, in which Kesha alleged that her former producer may have also sexually assaulted Katy Perry. On August 27, 2018 Lady Gaga's deposition on aforementioned texts had been made public. In her deposition, she recalls talking with Kesha and CEO of Intercope, John Janick, about a rumor that Mr. Janick had heard regarding Katy Perry's alleged abuse. She states that Mr. Janick and herself had been talking with Kesha about what they could do to help Kesha out from her legal binding with Sony and Dr. Luke's record company, Kemosabe Records, suggesting that somehow they could bring Kesha over to Interscope and that Gaga would look after her. Later on, in his own deposition, Mr. Janick redacted his claims of ever alleging Katy Perry had been raped, making it seem as if Kesha was lying to Gaga with her claim over text, ultimately contradicting both Kesha and Gaga's claims that they had heard the rumor from Mr. Janick and making Gaga's deposition appear to lack knowledge of the subject and evidence. Ms.Perry herself also stated on record that she had not been raped, assaulted, or drugged. Lady Gaga's support for Kesha throughout her legal battle has been anything but secret, taking to her various social media accounts to advocate for the singer and helping Kesha continue to spread her message and shine her light as this lawsuit draws on. #FreeKesha
