Lady Gaga called in to Zane Lowe's radio show on Apple Music's Beats 1 today from a studio in New York City after teasing a big announcement about her upcoming album. On the phone call, Lady Gaga revealed exclusively to Beats 1 the name her upcoming studio album, Joanne, which will be released worldwide next month on October 21, 2016 and that it's on the verge of completion. The album title is in tribute to her father's sister Joanne who died from lupus when she was 19. The album cover, which will be revealed later today, was described by Zane Lowe who got a first look as "a very simple, and effective and timeless layout." The album booklet will include personal clippings and photos from Joanne's life. As of now, the standard album will include 11 tracks and the deluxe will include 14 tracks, with 'Sinner's Prayer', 'John Wayne' and 'Ayo' revealed as new song titles. Hillary Lindsey, who wrote hit country songs Jesus Take the Wheel and Girl Crush, was also revealed as a collaborator on the album.
Regarding her new music video for Perfect Illusion, Lady Gaga said it will be released soon and it was directed by Ruth Hogben. She described the video as a "very raw performance of the song." Listen to the audio clip below!
