As we near the end of 2019, let's take a look at some of Lady Gaga's most memorable achievements, including chart performance and awards in terms of music, film and her newest venture, beauty.
One of her biggest achievements was without doubt her Best Actress nomination at the 2019 Oscars. Lady Gaga became the second person ever to be nominated for best song and in an acting category in a single year.
Another recognition for her acting in A Star Is Born came from the Critics' Choice awards, where she won Best Actress tied with Glenn Close. At the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) A Star is Born was awarded as Best Film in Music.
Lady Gaga made history as the first woman, and the second person in general, to have ever won an Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe and BAFTA within a single year.
Although Gaga released no new music in 2019, the musical success of her leading actress debut in "A Star Is Born" in late 2018 continued, and grew into 2019. Lady Gaga managed to win some major awards with her global hit "Shallow" and "A Star Is Born" Soundtrack.
- Best Original Song for her songwriting in "Shallow" at Academy Awards 2019, her biggest award in music to date.
- Best Original Song at the Golden Globes, and Best Song at the Critics' Choice Awards with Shallow.
- 3 Grammy awards on January 26: Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written For Visual Media for Shallow, and Best Pop Solo Performance for Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'?).
She was also nominated for 3 Billboard Music Awards, 2 American Music Awards and 2 Video Music Awards this year, although she didn't win.
Last month, she scored an additional 3 nominations at Grammys 2020: Best Compilation Soundtrack for A Star Is Born, Song of the Year for Always Remember Us This Way, and Best Song Written for Visual Media for I'll Never Love Again. It looks like Gaga's strong Grammy presence will also continue into 2020.

"A Star Is Born" Soundtrack became the most streamed soundtrack by a lead female artist in history with over 2.4 billion streams. Furthermore, "Shallow" has become Gaga's first song to cross 900M streams on the platform. The song has also become the 10th most streamed song on Spotify Global in 2019.
