      V 118 Cover

Release Date: March 7th 2019 Photographer: Jean-Paul Goude Celebrating 10 years of Lady Gaga and V Magazine, Stephan Gan (V's Editor-In-Chief) finally paired her with photographer Jean-Paul Goude for her 25th cover! The cover was photographed in Paris, August 28th 2018 before the Venice Film Festival. For her cover look, Lady Gaga appears as an enigma beneath a pile of high exposing just her eyes and some extravagant jewelry. Thankfully, V Magazine has credited all of her jewelry and the details are as follows... On her hands, Lady Gaga wears rings all provided by Swiss luxury jeweler de GRISOGONO who she previously wore in her 2011 Vogue shoot. On her right hand, Lady Gaga wears a large gold flower ring and a giant amethyst ring. The amethyst ring is from the "Melody of Colours" collection and is item number 50459-01 sold for 54,000 euros. Featuring a large round amethyst in white gold, it is accented with white diamonds, emeralds, peridots, rubies, and pink sapphires that come up along the side like petals. I have not been able to find the gold ring in any of de GRISOGONO's catalogues. On her left hand, Lady Gaga stacked four amazing rings. She started with a large emerald ring from their High Jewellery collection that is set in prongs covered in small white diamonds on a band also made of emeralds. The three other rings are credited to de GRISOGONO as well but I have again not been able to find them in any catalogues. On her right wrist, Lady Gaga begins with the two-coil "Serpenti" Bracelet from Bvlgari's High Jewelry collection. Set in white gold and pave diamonds, it is available for $100,000 by appointment or by store locator here. Below her Bvlgari bracelet, Lady Gaga layers on the "Estrucan Inspiration Cuff Bracelet" from Van Cleef and Arpels. Created in the 1970's, this cuff bracelet is inspired by Etruscan jewelry in hammered yellow gold. Worn notably by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, it remains in the Maison's collections to this day, an emblem of elegance and daring. It is also available for purchase through contacting here for $34,900. On her left wrist, nestled into the hay, LG wears a gold and white diamond stack of bracelets that are actually all connected. They are from the 2017 "Coco Crush" jewelry collection which is no longer sold through Chanel but a new collection of "Coco Crush" jewelry, a line inspired by the iconic quilted Chanel purses, is available now. The jade bracelet and etched silver cuff above the Chanel bracelet are not from Chanel but V credited only Chanel to her left wrist. The gold chains along the tops of her hands were also not credited by V. They are all likely the stylist's own as the feathers in her first look were. More details to come when I get my hands on the print magazine so stay tuned! Lady Gaga was with a new team, styled by Alex Aikiu with hair by Kazue Deki and makeup by Mayia Alleaume for Maybelline. 2. For her final look inside the magazine, Lady Gaga poses as Marie Antoinette in an incredible gown from Atelier Versace - Versace's Haute Couture collection. The collection is "the art of couture" as the creations explore fantasy and escapism inspired by regal decorative motifs and the imperial opulence found in the winter palace of Saint Petersburg. Empowering. Strikingly Feminine. Sensual. Lady Gaga's beautiful dress is look 10 of the Atelier Versace Fall/Winter 2018 collection, titled the "Hermitage Dress." Made of metallic silver, the dress is made with a bustier top and a structural hip/waistline leaving the legs exposed, and a full train. It is then finished with crystal flowers that start from the asymmetric right shoulder strap and flow down to the hips. Unfortunately, Atelier Versace cannot just be purchased and price tags are not given out. Inquiries and appointments can be made by contacting [email protected] Making it truly Gaga, Mother Monster finished her look with her iconic Pleaser ankle boots with a giant platform! They are the "Beyond 1020" in black patent leather with a 6 inch platform and for a 10 inch total heel! They are available now directly through Pleaser for $118.95 here. Her shoes and her Marie Antoinette style wig are both decorated in real flowers to finish absolutely stunning look! Lady Gaga was with a new team, styled by Alex Aikiu with hair by Kazue Deki and makeup by Mayia Alleaume for Maybelline. The magazine hits newsstands March 7th! By Terran Warden
    3. For her second look, Lady Gaga changed into what Jean-Paul Goude described as the "broken doll" in a full look by Maison Margiela. From the Fall 2018 Haute Couture collection, Lady Gaga wears an insane layered look shown as #16 in the collection. The look consists of a beige down winter coat, with a quilted yellow vest underneath, with a down blue winter vest underneath, with a blue wool coat underneath, with a plaid wool coat underneath, with a blue down winter trench coat underneath, with a black wool trench coat underneath - held together by a neon orange belt! The sleeves of the numerous jackets are gathered together and elongated to end at nearly the same point as the model's knees! Lady Gaga only has one of the outfit's arms though to fit with the broken doll theme. The concept of layering was very much the backbone of this collection and this look exemplifies that, as Galliano was drawn to the idea of “creating your own world within a world that’s very troubled at the moment.” The look is finished with a blue foam headpiece cut to look like an animated wig and the entire head is wrapped in clear plastic. Finally, Lady Gaga wears the iconic Maison Margiela "Tabi" ankle boots in cream leather but with green paint detailed to the ankles. The original "Tabi" boots can be purchased for around $700 through Maison Margiela and many outside retailers. Lady Gaga was with a new team, styled by Alex Aikiu with hair by Kazue Deki and makeup by Mayia Alleaume for Maybelline. The magazine hits newsstands March 7th! By Terran Warden
    4. But because Lady Gaga is one of the most photographed women, Goude turned to the cosmos and fantastical depths of his mind to create something unique. “With Gaga, we tried to bring to existence a fictitious character, straight out of my personal mythology: a sort of deity and the ruler of her very own Gagaland” he told V. And so Goude depicted Gaga in a way that was both bizarre and beautiful; extraterrestrial but with a familiar face. For her first look inside the magazine, used to announce the new cover, Lady Gaga poses as a "show girl" in Giorgio Armani's Haute Couture line - Armani Prive. Lady Gaga wears look 84 of the Fall 2018 Couture collection consisting of a long black velvet gown with a deep V-neck with a pink ostrich feather floor-length coat sprinkled with black feathers. On her feet, Lady Gaga also wears shoes from Armani Prive's Fall 2018 Couture Collection. Shown throughout the collection, Lady Gaga wears a pair of pumps featuring triangular hot pink satin with nude mesh and crystals along the top. They were also shown in the collection in black, blue, and cream, as well as mixed combinations of those colors. This amazing collection also gave us her Toronto Film Festival premiere look with the iconic black veil. To accessorize, Lady Gaga started with a pair of black gloves from Parisian glove-making company Causse Gantier which was founded in 1892! Unfortunately, from the feathers of the coat, it is impossible to see the length of her gloves and thus identify which design she is wearing. On her head, Lady Gaga wears an amazing headpiece by Shaun Leane for Alexander McQueen. The "Star" Headpiece is featured in the Museum of Savage Beauty - which gives us some amazing gallery photos - and was part of McQueen's Autumn/Winter 2007 collection. The headpiece, and it's "Moon" companion, are made from from silver sheet. The form was scored into the sheet before it was soldered down the seams. The it was inlaid with topaz Swarovski gemstone. It is not available for purchase and is an extremely valuable archival piece both in value and in history. Unlike it's original appearance, Lady Gaga added feathers and placed the headpiece so it would lay horizontally across the top of her head rather than to the right side of the head as it was originally intended. Lady Gaga also wore some amazing jewelry and thankfully I found the credits printed in the physical copy of the magazine. The middle blue and brown necklace is a vintage piece that was picked up at Galerie Argiles Paris. The top and bottom necklaces are both from Chanel's Haute Joaillerie collection which is not available for purchase. I could not locate a photo of the top choker-like necklace. However, the bottom necklace was thankfully shown at a Camélias installation in Dubai, back in 2014. The bottom necklace is part of the "Jardin de Camélias" collection and is again not available to purchase. V Magazine also credited her makeup as Maybelline Color Sensations with Swarovski gem stones. Lady Gaga was with a new team, styled by Alex Aikiu with hair by Kazue Deki and makeup by Mayia Alleaume for Maybelline. The magazine hits newsstands March 7th! By Terran Warden
    5. Release Date: January 14th 2019 Photographer: Peter Lindbergh In promotion of A Star Is Born, and their #1 single "Shallow," Lady Gaga was revealed as the new cover star of HITS Magazine - a music industry magazine that is hard to come by for purchase. While the cover says "Lady Gaga" it should really say "Ally Maine" as HITS Magazine got to use a never-before-seen photo from Peter Lindberg's A Star Is Born promotional photoshoot. On the cover, just a small section of Lady Gaga's outfit can be seen - but it is clear it is look 15 from Saint Laurent's Fall 2016 Ready-To-Wear collection with Hedi Slimane. Lady Gaga is a super fan of Hedi Slimane and has worn nearly every piece from the collection! The strapless cocktail dress is made with an asymmetric bustline and covered entirely with multicolored sequin and beadwork. Unfortunately, as the dress is now an archival piece, it is no longer available for purchase. Check out HQ scans of the magazine on GagaImages here. By Terran Warden
    6. Release Date: November 28th 2018 Photographer: Miller Mobley Ahead of awards season, The Hollywood Reporter held an Actress Roundtable featuring Lady Gaga! The Hollywood Reporter's roundtable is an award-winning feature that gathers the top stars of the year's most buzzed about films and tv series. Lady Gaga was joined by five other leading ladies of 2018 for The Actress Roundtable - Glenn Close, Nicole Kidman, Regina King, Kathryn Hahn, and Rachel Weisz - all of whom appear on the latest cover of The Hollywood Reporter magazine. For the roundtable and cover photoshoot, Lady Gaga was styled by Carol McColgin and wore Columbian designer Johanna Ortiz couture for the first time! Fun fact - Lady Gaga has worn Johanna Ortiz once before one year to the day but only one earring on her Instagram Story (see left.) Another fun fact, that day was the first appearance of her pink engagement ring from Christian Carino! Lady Gaga's beautiful red gown is the Georgette Señora Maria Rosa Dress from look 60 of the Fall 218 Ready-to-Wear collection, inspired by classic South American rancho stylings that toughen up her romantic aesthetic. Made of 100% "Spicy Red" silk, this dress is made in Columbia and features a off-the-shoulder neckline, puff sleeves, and maxi silhouette. It was sold for $2,500 on M'Oda Operandi but is now sold out however it can still be purchased through other retailers like MatchesFashion for 1,925 euros here. With such a striking dress, no accessories were needed. Instead her platinum locks and smoldering eye makeup by Frederic Aspiras and Sarah Tanno respectively were the focus. Also, unfortunately, Lady Gaga's shoes were never pictured. 7. Release Date: November 13th 2018 Photographer: Art Streiber On Tuesday, Variety Magazine released their latest cover star for the November 13th issue and it's our girl Lady Gaga! For the photoshoot, Lady Gaga wears a single look that she revealed the importance of inside the magazine. The photoshoot was done in the garage of Lady Gaga's Malibu mansion just a week before she was forced to evacuate from the California wildfires. On the cover, Mother Monster is shown simply in a men's button-up shirt. The shirt is actually from A Star Is Born, worn by Bradley Cooper's character Jackson Maine. Variety revealed that "Gaga swiped several souvenirs from the set. She’s the owner of Ally’s songbook and a bottle of Mr. Bubble from a bathtub love scene, in addition to Jackson’s shirt." “I just wanted to have a piece of him with me,” says Gaga, who is engaged to talent agent Christian Carino. “This is very precious to me. These are heirlooms, or they will be heirlooms one day. They are things I will want to show my little girl or little boy and say, ‘Here they are. You can touch them.’ I want them to have a close, tangible, poetic experience with the film the way I have.” The taupe collared shirt was created by Runabout Goods in Los Angeles, as one of the five pieces made for Bradley Cooper and commissioned by costume designer Erin Benach. Jackson wears the shirt while performing "Shallow" for the first time with Ally as well as on their motorcycle trip to Arizona, stopping in a diner to write "Look What I Found." Unfortunately, the shirt is custom so it is not available for purchase. Finishing her look, Lady Gaga wore knee high black stretch boots from Schutz. Schutz describes the 3.5 inch heeled boots as "a must-have staple item for your fall wardrobe. The stiletto heels on these over-the-knee boots can make any outfit look sexy" and that they do! Perfectly paired with her men's shirt, the "S-Daiana" pointed toe boots are sold for $360 here. In some of the shots, Lady Gaga can be seen with an added black hat. According to Gladys Tamez, (the millinery behind the iconic Joanne pink hat), she is wearing their "Aries" hat in black however her grosgrain band has been swapped out with a chain. The original three inch brimmed hat is available, also in white, for $1,150 here. Lady Gaga's issue is on newsstands now so be sure to pick up your copy or read her full interview here. 15. Release Date: August 13th Promoting the public sale of her Las Vegas residency tickets, Lady Gaga posted a second promotional poster for ENIGMA shot by Inez & Vinoodh and styled by Nicola Formichetti! I believe the photos were captured recently along with the first ENIGMA photo at Milk Studios in New York City July 11th. For the second photo, Lady Gaga continues her neon aesthetic with an incredible dress from Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen. Mother Monster has previously worn Van Herpen designs since the beginning of her career but very rarely (see left). From the brand new Fall 2018 "Syntopia" collection, Lady Gaga wears a corseted dress from look 10. The collection explores the new worlds that arise within synthetic biology and the intertwining relationships between the organic and the inorganic, acknowledging the current scientific shift in which biology converges with technology and visualizes the fragility and power within. Her dress is the "Mimesis" and is a perfect example of this. Made from bird's soundwave patterns that are lasercut of mylar, black cotton, red organza, and transparent black acrylic sheets, layering the silk and acrylic like a feather's architecture. Unfortunately, I cannot find this beautiful dress available for purchase anywhere online. To further accentuate her look, Nicola Formichetti added a neon mesh bodysuit underneath the dress as well as colorful tulle flowing up and behind her. Both of which were created by Diego Ferrer who has previously assisted NicoPanda. None of his work is available for purchase online but you can contact Ferrer by email at [email protected] And of course, her look was not complete with hair by Frederic Aspiras and makeup by Sarah Tanno of the Haus of Gaga! Hopefully we will get to see this full look in some promotional photos soon! Tickets for ENIGMA: The Las Vegas Residency are on sale now! Thanks to Nicola Formichetti for posting the details on this look! By Terran Warden
