Lady Gaga kicked off the first of her 'Jazz & Piano Engagement' shows in Las Vegas tonight, alongside pop show 'Enigma', of her two year residency.
She dazzled in a variety of outfits, showcasing her immense vocal talent performing songs from the Great American Songbook, as well as stripped down versions of her own hits. The stage set-up is very reminiscent of her 2015 "Cheek To Cheek" tour with Tony Bennett, using some of the same lighting and seating
The show kicks off with a message from Tony, and a cover of Frank Sinatra's "Luck Be A Lady", leading into "Anything Goes" by Cole Porter. The 2 hour show also features tracks covered on her duet album 'Cheek To Cheek', such as "Lush Life" and "Bang Bang".
Bennett also joined Gaga onstage as a susprise guest, performing a few songs together.
During the show, different interudes are shown on screen as Gaga makes an outfit change. In these clips, she discusses the history of Jazz, how it feels to perform it, why she returned to it and more, while one of her early tracks "Captivated" is played on piano.
