Date: June 25th 2018 Location: Electric Lady Studios (New York City, New York)
Spending another day in the studio, Lady Gaga finally emerged to fans waiting outside in a second look of the day. According to those fans outside, she was running late to something and couldn't stop to greet them. She was later seen inside Madison Square Garden at U2's concert.
For her second look of the day, Lady Gaga started with a full look from Wesley Berryman. Made with his signature style, Lady Gaga is wearing a long sleeve shirt overlapped with a denim corset that is finished with white lace-up detailing along the edges. The outfit is then finished with a matching denim skirt and a crystalized western style belt.
On the right, her corset and her belt can be seen in the "OBSESSION" collection cover photo. Unfortunately, Berryman designs are nearly all only available through contacting the designer. To inquire about a sale, email [email protected]
For her shoes Lady Gaga wore her new pair of Giuseppe Zanotti boots she wore when arriving. She would later wear these same shoes throughout her week in NYC. The shoes are a black lace up boot complete with 6 inch stiletto heels. Speaking with InStyle, Zanotti says "I have always been a fan of Gaga and her music. I like the fact that she plays with fashion and style. I have created many custom shoes from the big stage of her "Joanne" World Tour, to red carpets, to everyday looks. It always amazes me how she combines my skyscraper heels with her eclectic outfits."
For her accessories, Lady Gaga started with a black leather hat from Eric Javits. Javits opened his women's hat business in 1985 where he founded the Squishee® hat that could be rolled up for travel and then spring back to its original shape undamaged. This hat, first introduced in 1995 is now widely recognized as having changed the course of the women's headwear market. Javits was named Hat Designer of the Year and Hat Designer of the Decade 1990-1999 and his designs are included in the archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. And he took to Instagram to announce the hat as his creation, see left.
It may look familiar as she has previously worn Javits hats in suede! Lady Gaga's hat is the "Night Porter" Newsboy Cap in black Italian lamb leather. Made with an adjustable head size and 1.75 inch brim peak, the hat is available in black or red leather for $440 here.
Next, Lady Gaga wore another pair of sunglasses from unisex company Bonnie Clyde. Bonnie Clyde is an up-and-coming celebrity favorite worn previously by Kehlani, Tinashe, and more. Bonnie Clyde posted the candids on their Instagram story which they've added to their highlights, see left.
This time, Lady Gaga wore the "For Eva" frames in Black Black which are made with lightweight diamond-shaped stainless steel and finished with acetate eartips. They are available for only $98 here.
In the photos released, especially the one shared by Bonnie Clyde, Lady Gaga can be seen wearing another pair of asymmetric earrings - this time both being silver. I have not yet identified the earring on her right ear but if you have a tip, tweet it to us @WhatGagaWore.
The earring on her left ear is the from Marc Jacob's new season collection and is sold as a single earring not a pair. It is the "Large Hook Earring" crafted from metal and features a pull through back and a hook-style design. It is available for purchase through FarFetch for $107 here.
Underneath her skirt, Lady Gaga wore her signature fishnet tights from Wolford. These micro-net tights provide a seamless finish with a comfortable sewn-on waistband and net ends at the toes making them perfect for open-toed shoes. They are available in many colors, Lady Gaga always wears black, for $53 here.
Finally, Lady Gaga carried her new black leather purse she also carried when she arrived at the studio. This time, her bag is from Uruguay born, New York based designer Gabriela Hearst. This unique top handle bag is made with Nappa black leather and finished with rose gold hardware but is made in many different leather colors as well as suede and snakeskin.
Unfortunately, the bag is sold out on all retailers. However, you can submit your information to a waiting list here.
