Date: May 27th 2018 Location: Electric Lady Studios (New York City, New York)
Leaving fans shook, Lady Gaga emerged from the studio in New York City in a daring high fashion look. Opposite from her morning look, Lady Gaga's hair went long and wild with a braided hairbow over a high ponytail paired with a wild leopard print garment.
Lady Gaga's oversized leopard look is fresh off of Gareth Pugh's Fall 2018 runway. Mother Monster has a long history with English designer Gareth Pugh who she has worn and hung out with throughout her career. The collection was, according to Pugh, designed “for women who accept zero bullshit.” And as Lady Gaga stomped through the streets of NYC like a runway, I could feel that attitude!
Wearing the full look 1, Lady Gaga wears a box-like velvet coat with a strong collar and shoulder pads finished with black leather trim and matching black belt around the waist. Underneath the coat, Lady Gaga wears the thigh-high matching boots also with an oversized, and thus slouched, style.
While moving, an electric blue outfit beneath her jacket peeked through which she would later reveal at her manager Bobby Campbell's birthday party!
For her bag, LG once again carried her "Grace Small Box" purse in black from Mark Cross. She previously carried the same bag in brown leather so this was an easy find. Inspired by the overnight case created for Grace Kelly in Rear Window, the "Grace Small Box" is a top handle handbag with an adjustable and detachable leather shoulder strap. The bag is available in many colors and textures, but Lady Gaga's is the black smooth calf leather version sold for $2,395. Unfortunately, her version of the bag is sold out through all retailers.
Finally, Lady Gaga was spotted leaving her apartment (or wherever she is staying in New York City) to head out to Bobby's birthday celebration where she added a trendy pair of ultra-slim sunglasses. For her first pair from designer Poppy Lissiman, Lady Gaga wore their razor sharp matrix-esque silhouette frames in solid shiny black acetate with black lens and completed with clear crystals carefully embellishing the front frame.
Lissiman's "Le Skinny Luxe" are available for purchase for $130 here. The same frames are available without crystals and in nearly a dozen other colors as well.
Thank you to Lady Gaga's stylist Sandra for the credits!
BONUS: Lady Gaga's makeup artist Sarah Tanno revealed her look was inspired by the 60's. "In the 60’s they wore some of my favorite detailed eye makeup. From colors, to shading, extreme liners and lashes. I paired this look with a bright orange mouth to keep it fresh and fun. I really am the luckiest girl in the world to have such an iconic face to paint," Sarah captioned her latest Instagram post.
To create the detailed undereye liner, Sarah used the AMC Eyeliner Gel from Polish cosmetics company Inglot. The black gel, shade 77, is available for only $22 here. The eyeliner is available in many other colors as well from natural browns to bright turquoise and everything in between.
