Date: August 1st 2017 Location: Rogers Arena (Vancouver, BC)
After filling the arena with one of her greatest interludes - a short clip transitioning between a party with friends to the fame through an oxygen mask - Lady Gaga returns to the stage to perform "Applause" while moving to the back stage with an iridescent piano.
To start, Lady Gaga wears a black full bodysuit with one accent floral sleeve designed by Richard Quinn. Quinn is a London-based designer who's label was established recently in 2016. Quinn is known for creating garments with attention to innovative fabrications which is highlighted with Lady Gaga's accent sleeve.
Designed by Quinn, Lady Gaga and her dancers outfits were crafted by Elodie Laurent in "a last minute overnight adventure." Laurent has worked previously with Lady Gaga throughout much of the ARTPOP era in collaboration with Gareth Pugh. Check out Laurent's behind-the-scenes Instagram post of the look.
Finishing her look, Lady Gaga wore custom shoes from designer Giuseppe Zanotti. The shoes are black velvet booties with block heel that are not only beautiful but great for traveling around stage. Shoutout to Footwear News for the exclusive photos of Lady Gaga's Guiseppe Zanotti booties!
After performing on the piano, Lady Gaga speeds things up again with "Born This Way" but not before making a slight costume change. With assistance from dance captain Asiel Hardison, Lady Gaga adds a large tulle skirt from Viktor + Rolf. From look 18 in Viktor + Rolf's second Bridal collection ever, Spring 2018, Lady Gaga uses only the skirt from the "Asymmetric Tiered Tulle Gown."
The gown - not just the skirt - is sold for $8,000 to $8,999 in stores only. Find store locations near you here.
